EXPERIENCE

Kirsten Englund has been a licensed Realtor in California since 2000. She spent her first 6 years in real estate working in the busy coastal markets of San Luis Obispo, Atascadero, Templeton & Paso Robles with an extremely successful team of Realtors that started out with Peabody & Plum Realtors, and later became the Greg Malik Real Estate Group. In 2003 she was publically recognized as a Top Producer in the area. Working in this area during the peak of the real estate market gave Kirsten lots of experience in writing and negotiating competitive offers successfully. Kirsten is a big believer in continuing education, and putting her updated real estate knowledge to work in her clients' best interests. She has completed 3 Buyer Specialist Universities, and many C.A.R. accredited courses, including courses in 1031 Exchanges, Investment Properties, Safety Issues in Real Estate, Legal Updates in Real Estate, Active Listening, Real Estate Lending Issues, and multiple courses in using cutting edge Real Estate and Escrow/Title programs since getting her license. LIFE IN THE MOUNTAINS

As a recent immigrant to the mountains herself, Kirsten knows just what new buyers are experiencing when they consider looking for a home here. Kirsten had a life-long dream of living in the mountains near Yosemite, and spent many years visiting the area for back-country hiking, camping, rafting and skiing trips. In the 1990s various friends and family members began to move to the mountains, and Kirsten and her family were inspired to follow suit. In 2003, Kirsten and her husband were able to buy a house in North Fork, CA on 7+ gorgeous acres of land with towering ponderosa pines, oaks and manzanita and a seasonal creek at the 3000’ level. She and her artist husband and theatrical son, 3 quirky cats and a big dog on short legs now enjoy watching the seasons pass across their land in one wave of color after another. Kirsten has spent much of the time since moving here exploring and learning about mountain area neighborhoods, issues, and concerns from a real estate viewpoint.

ORGANIZATIONS & HOBBIES

Kirsten is currently a Member-at-Large and Treasurer for the North Fork Community Development Council; she is active with the Yosemite Gateway Realtor’s Association, she is a member of several area Chambers of Commerce; she is a supporting member of Sierra Cares, an Animal Advocacy Group; she belongs to the North Fork Community Choir; and she is involved with a number of local artistic and theatrical venues that her son is in. Besides spending time with her large extended family in the mountains, her hobbies include reading, hiking, swimming, gardening, writing, painting theater sets, and cooking.
